Amici Chamber Ensemble has celebrated over 25 years as one of Canada’s finest and most distinguished chamber music ensembles. To maintain and build upon these excellent results, Amici Chamber Ensemble needs a strong, dedicated volunteer Board of Directors. Thank you for your interest in applying to join our Board. By doing so, you are making a commitment to community service.
The Board of Directors is responsible for articulating and supporting the mission, goals and strategic plan of the organization. The board is responsible for ensuring that there are sufficient resources for the planned activities of the ensemble. Directors subscribe to Amici Chamber Ensemble’s annual series, contribute to annual fundraising efforts, promote Amici Chamber Ensemble in the community, attend and actively participate in meetings of the Board of Directors and one other committee.
Candidates must demonstrate leadership, and possess an interest in the arts with the ability to think strategically. In order to complement the skills of the existing Board, experience in marketing, public relations, fund development and community relations would be an asset.
Directors are appointed for a two-year term, with possible renewal.
The Board of Director’s meets every six weeks (approx.) for 2 hours, and committees meet as required.
To apply, please complete the Application Form.
